It's that time of the year again when all the kids like to go trick or treating at Hallowe'en.
And The Shires will once again be a safe environment for the kids to enjoy dressing up and go round the shops to collect sweets - all for free.
The Shires' Hallowe'en trick or treat trail last year was an outstanding success with more than 550 children in fancy dress flocking to the shopping centre - far more than ever before.
The event will this year be in the afternoon of Friday, October 30.
Youngsters taking part have to be aged 12 or under, wear a Hallowe'en fancy dress costume and be accompanied by an adult.
The Shires centre manager Sarah-Louise Moore said: "It gets bigger and better ever year. Word has certainly got round and parents keep asking us to do it again and it seems to give everyone so much pleasure.
"It's safer for the children and more reassuring for people who don't like opening their door to strangers at night. We will start at 2pm and run for an hour with a fancy dress competition at 3.15pm.
Children will be given a bag and some sweets to start and can then go round participating shops where they are given more sweets and will be able to make the most of facepainting from 11am to 3pm - and again it's free.
