Huge turn out for Hallowe'en spooktacular!

A green haired monster, a kitten and a bandaged mummy caught the attention of Hallowe'en judges at The Shires annual trick or treat event.

Centre manager Sarah-Louise Moore assisted by PCSOs Ben Brown and Mike Obern chose ten year old Katie Groves from Trowbridge, Keola-Ellie Boulton, 4, from Melksham and Jade Clift, 10, also from Trowbridge as best dressed Halloween characters.

They each received a goody bag filled with treats including cinema tickets, vouchers from Shakeaway, sweets and a Peppa Pig book.

The Shires' tenants also got into the spirit of the occasion by dressing up in amazing costumes and it was a welcome return for former Sweet Shop owner Cherry Robinson who retired in the summer but returned to help out with the popular event.

More than 400 children took part, collecting free sweet treats from many of The Shires shops.
