Vince calls time on his long and loyal service in The Shires

The Shires shopping centre is about to say farewell and wish a happy retirement to a familiar face.

Operations manager Vince Cortilla, who is well known to tenants and staff as well as many shoppers, is retiring at the end of the year after 20 years loyal service.

Vince, 69, lives in Broadmead, Trowbridge, and his duties have included operations manager and deputy centre manager, serving under three centre managers during his time here.

Vince has helped recruit and lead a number of security and cleaning staff and helped oversee the introduction of the centre's CCVT security cameras which cover many parts of the town centre as well as the shopping centre itself.

Vince says has seen a number of changes over the years but he had enjoyed meeting shoppers and working with the tenants but now feels the time is now right to take retirement and enjoy more time with his wife and family and hand over the reins to someone else.
